Volunteers

Volunteering is a first-come, first-served opportunity.  All accepted volunteers will be contacted shortly after with instructions. Please do not register until you are notified about your application status. If you are not chosen, you will still have time to register before the early bird deadline. 

Students who sign up and register as volunteers and do not appear for their volunteer shift will be billed for the cost of a student registration, and will not be able to register for future SciX meetings until the outstanding payment is made.

Below is a list of tasks that volunteers may be asked to assist with. Additional assistance may be required in areas not listed here.

• Move boxes that weigh up to 25 lbs.
• Stuff conference bags prior to the meeting.
• Room monitor / head counts.
• Assist at registration.
• Sign placement and moving.
• Move materials from room to room.
• Assist with reception and room set ups.
• Ticket collection at events/receptions.
• Affix poster board numbers
• Staff SciX booth in exhibit hall

As an added bonus, anyone who signs up for the Saturday bag stuffing time-slot (before the meeting) gets lunch on us!
